A New Way To Support Eaglebrook School
We are hoping to meet the interests and evolving preferences of our fellow alumni and supporters by creating a new way to support Eaglebrook School.
Talons are a digital connection to Eaglebrook. Like an old school tie, a pennant or a school sweatshirt with "EAGLEBROOK" written across it, Talons are expressions of belonging to and being supportive of our school. Our logo was made by Eaglebrook alumnus, Matt McInerney.
Eaglebrook School is offering Talon tokens for sale for US$10 each. Talons are crypto tokens minted on the Chia blockchain.
We work with Chia because our sustainability goals are closely aligned. Chia is generally recognized for having the world’s greenest ‘crypto’. For example, Chia uses only 0.16% of the annual energy consumption of Bitcoin, and 0.36% of Ethereum.
Talons are Tokens of Appreciation that you may purchase. We created Talons to help fund student clubs at Eaglebrook. Talons are not an investment, not a donation, nor are they securities. There is no expectation of profit by owning a Talon. It’s just a cool thing to own.
100% of the proceeds (minus transaction fees) will be reserved to fund student club projects and acquire new machines for robotics, printing and the Innovation Lab.
Anyone may create a free Chia wallet to store their Talons and other Chia blockchain assets. We have a “How To” page and we will add more helpful resources as this project grows. Please email us suggestions and comments: hello@talons.app.
